Non-Traditional Fields Presentation
On Monday, September 29th, sixteen Pathfinder students met with guest speaker Cathy Sanders, owner of Cathy Sanders Electric, Inc. of Eastham, MA. Mrs. Sanders is an electrical contractor who has been in the business for almost 20 years. She is a 3rd generation electrician and is married to Pathfinder's own Mr. Sanders in the Electrical shop.
Mrs. Sanders spoke with the girls about the challenges of being a female in a trade that is typically male dominated. She knows firsthand that starting out in these areas can be difficult and touched on the benefits of owning your own business. She really enjoys visiting vocational high schools to share her experiences and provide some words of advice and encouragement to girls who are pursuing non-traditional fields.
The students in attendance represented shops such as Electrical, Machine Technology, Collision Repair/Autobody, CAD and Horticulture.

New Break Policy
The new break policy has been implemented to ensure that all shops remain productive and attention is not taken away from the work and progress of students in their vocational areas. In the past there have been problems with students being left unattended and students creating disturbances. The new policy should help to ensure that such disturbances and issues do not occur.
