The primary goal of this program is to prepare the student for entry level employment or post secondary education in the field of Computer Aided Drafting or Engineering Technology. Students who have completed this program in good standing are eligible for an articulation program giving students the opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school.

Students in this program have access to a computer lab that utilizes the latest versions of Autocad and Inventor software. The curriculum meets the standards of industry and is aligned with the current Massachusetts vocational frameworks. After completing the junior year, students are eligible to enter the co-op program in which students can get hands on experience in the trade and also earn an income.

Proficiency in CAD enables the student to enter a rewarding career with an excellent salary and strong growth potential. CAD is used in all forms of engineering such as mechanical, electrical, civil, architectural, landscape, and even video/software design. Once a student has mastered the CAD software, design ideas can be turned into reality. Almost every item around you, from automobiles, to furniture, to the space shuttle began as a CAD drawing.
