Pathfinder Regional Vocational Technical High School offers a four-year cosmetology program consisting of all phases of wet and dry hair styling, chemical services, and manicuring, pedicuring and facial treatments. The program is designed to meet the guidelines for licensing designated by the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology and Massachusetts Department of Educations Vocational Frameworks.

Students are provided with a safe and sanitary environment utilizing the latest industry tools and equipment. The cosmetology shop which is supervised by three experienced, certified instructors, is open to the public for all cosmetology services.

In accordance with the Massachusetts State Board of Cosmetology, a student must obtain 1000 hours of combined related theory and shop instruction in order to qualify for state board testing. There is an added focus to incorporate academic activities in preparation for MCAS where it is applicable to our area of trade. Successful completion of the program qualifies students to apply for State Board testing. An operator's license is issued upon receiving a passing score.
